Setting up Android Studio on Windows 8
Android Studio released quite some time ago, but as it gets closer to a stable (by stable I mean non-alpha/beta release) release, many have tried to check it out more often than not. The only problem is, many have come to the problem “JDK Not found” or something similar.
Well, simple solution is to download the Java Development Kit version 7 or higher (I recommend version 7) then go to your Environment System Variables and add a JAVA_HOME variable with the path to your JDK! Then you should be finished.
Now it’s important to note that messing with the other variables could prove to be problematic for your system. I recommend taking note of what you currently have, and focus on not making mistakes such as accidentally deleting or editing one of the variables.
It may also prove helpful to create a system restore point before continuing!
